A successful intensive training program combining concepts, workshops, and simulation exercises to enhance the theoretical and practical concepts of Statistics, and field Mobile Data Collection (MDC) for Statistics Directorate staff in Erbil governorate – KRG.

On August 28, SOSS Company opened the three-day training programme which focused on Essentials of statistics, and a complete learning of designing questionnaires in KoBoToolbox. The course was specially designed for the experienced staff in Statistics directorate by experts from SOSS company.

Using MDC became more popular in recent years and most of the apps are available with free access online. This training was introduced participants the KoBoToolbox functions for designing questionnaires in both online and off-line data collection. The MDC is powerful for project monitoring, evaluation, and research in which it provide high quality of data collected, full controlled, and efficiently use of resources. More specially, participant were learnt most needed tools inside KoBoToolbox and how to merge them with Excel form designing which is compatable with ODK also.
